His character, Cedric, has a loud and frantic personality that made audiences laugh, but given his funny character the limelight he’s given could have been shared with other characters, such as La La Anthony’s character Sonia. Of course Hart was the highlight of the movie, given his talent of pure and original comedy. That would have added more substance to the film instead of just comedy.īecause the movie was based so much on Michael and Candace’s wedding, other characters didn’t get much spotlight.
"Think Like a Man Too" failed to take the characters in new or interesting directions. However, there was not a book to follow his first one. Their roles had great influence from the book. There was the momma’s boy, the player, the dreamer, the non-committer and the divorced guy. The first movie, "Think Like a Man," was based on the bestseller relationship book by Steve Harvey, “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man.” The movie promptly followed the chapters of the book and that was very evident throughout the film. Candace and Loretta just can’t seem to get along, which creates a whole different problem in the couple’s relationship. Not to mention, the couple is constantly being interrupted by Michael’s mother Loretta, played by Jenifer Lewis, who is staying in the hotel room directly beside them. The night before the I-do’s, the guys and girls all end up in jail together. Michael and Candace, played by Terrence Jenkins and Hall, decide to get married in Las Vegas. The film shot in Sin City brings out the wild side of an all-star cast including Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Gabrielle Union and Taraji P. How would it look like? What would you do? "Think Like a Man Too" was supposed to be a nothing-but-perfect vacation, but turned out to tumble downhill after a series of unfortunate events. Imagine the perfect trip with a bunch of your closest buddies.
